Guys , recently I've came across the 30 Challenge by Ed Dale , it is really cool stuff , no hype with tons of quality information for internet marketing newbie.

We all know that choosing the right market is crucial for internet marketing .I've been reading tons of niche research ebooks for months and "How to find Niche Ideas" from Ed Dale is one of the best.

The idea is simple , go to Amazon and look at the magazine section , choose a category and take note how many magazines have been published for a particular niche.As we know magazine publisher is after the money , so with a good amount of magazines presence in a niche , it is a good indicator that there are money for us to make . Internet Marketing is not a get rich quick scheme , whatever you have seen something like "$100 per day in 2 hrs by selling something" or "$1000 per month from AdSense while you're in your pajamas" , as an IM newbie , i advise you to totally forget about it . What you've seen in the ads are achievable but not an overnight thing , it takes countless of trial and error , mistake , disappointment , not to mentioned the emptiness each time you look into your earning. Those Ads , is an Ads , their purpose is to create and amplify your internal desire which force you to fulfill your inner emptiness by buying their product , the result , you will end up buying more and more IM products and yet still earning big ZERO . If you have "Get Rich Quick" mindset , you better get rid of them from now on.

Internet marketing is a business . A business sell product or service to the market. If you think from this perspective , in order for a business to make profit by selling product and service , they first need to :

1.Understand the market and its population
2.Determine Demand and Supply
3.Analyze market competition
4.Create product or resell other ppl product or service to fulfill the market demand
5.Product positioning and differentiation
6.Setup shop and establish distribution channel and network for your product
7.Hire staff to take care of the business
8.Market product to preselected market segment
9.Provide good service to customer and establish long term recurring buying relation with them
10.Expand your business

If you compare this to Internet Marketing , it is no surprise that they shared some common characteristics . As an Internet Marketer , you need to :

1.Understand the online population , after all , Internet Marketing is selling product or service to those who surf and buy from the internet. Selling product to a country with high online population is critical to ensure a profitable online business.

2.The big advantage of an online business over off line business is the easiness to obtain critical market statistic information such as demand and supply data from major search engine companies such as Google , Yahoo and MSN. There are plenty of tools out there which help you to compile and analyze the demand and supply of a your product . You can do it without paying any serious money , sometime you even can get them from free .

3.Analyze market competition , before you can go ahead with your online business idea , do a search in Google , Yahoo and MSN with your product keyword. Check the total results return , the less the better.

4.Once you have found a product with high demand but low supply , it is time to create a product to fulfill the demand . You can do it by creating your own product or by being an affiliate to other people product which gains your commission with each successful sales.This is also known as Affiliate Marketing in general. There are also other way to earn money without selling any product such as Google AdSense .

5.In order to establish the product uniqueness , an Internet Marketer usually will provides free bonuses or other valued added service to further encourage a potential customer to buy from them. After all if you are selling the same product with thousand of other internet marketers
how to you convince a potential customer to buy from you ?

6.Now , you have a solid product to sell , it is time to setup a website to introduce your product to the market.It doesnt' need to be fancy , a free blogger blog will do a sufficient job

7.The advantage of Internet Marketing is that you can start the whole business by yourself .Once your business start growing , you might want to consider to hire a full time customer service assistant for after sales support.If you have few extra to spend , you can outsource your work too , it isn't hard to find any good outsource service on the Internet.

8.Once your product and website is ready , it is time to pull some visitors to your website.You can do it via Pay per click advertising , article marketing , web 2.0 social networking which I will talk more about them later.The key point here is to market to the right market group and segment , you don't want to market a hair loss product to those who looking how to cure their headache problem.

9.Encourage your visitor and customer to sign up your mailing list so you can periodically send them quality information , you can also notify them about your next big cool product which they might interested. Mailing list is important for an online business because these are targeted visitors or customers , i.e. they already have interest or have bought your product , so it isn't hard to promote a similar or related products to them in the future.

10.Once your online business start generating consistent monthly income , it is wise to
reinvest part of your profit to further enhance its market position .It is also wise to expand the business to other related and profitable market.

In a nutshell Internet Marketing is not much different from any tradition business , the only different is the way to implement them.

I hope you will change your mindset now and take Internet Marketing as a serious business. When you do it right , it will brings you a continuous flow of passive revenue for many years to come and one day you might be able to quit your day job and be a full time internet marketer.

Yup , ZERO . Despite i have carefully choosen a niche where i think it has less competition but i still failed to climb further in the ranking , the reason being i didn't generate enough link to my blog ,due to busy work schedule , i hardly spend any time on link building .

Well , I've been reading a lot of ebooks like "How to generate $XXXX in less than 1 week" , believe me it wasn't that easy if not harder , internet marketing requires a lot of hard work before you can reach the $XXXX level .

I will change my approach , I will change the way i see thing and I will never give up !!
I shall break the ZERO barrier soon , once i did that , i believe you can too !

Domain or Subdomain - The first SEO step

When i launched my first money making blog , I was testing the idea of setting up multiple subdomains within a domain , doing this i can save my cost because domain name nowaday is getting more expensive especially with the recent adjustment in domain price across different domain name registra.

Hence i launched my first site as a subdomain under a generic domain . The subdomain name is the product name that i am targeting. After few weeks of adding good contents , finally my site is being ranked at page 16 by Google for the product name .It was yoyoing around page 16 to page 20 in the past few weeks.I am happy and content because i haven't do any link building yet , once there are more inbound link for the targeted keyword , the ranking shall be improve .

And out of curiousity , i bought another domain name which is close to the product name i am targeting . I installed Wordpress blog and leave it there without any contents and no on page optimization at all

So now i have 2 websites targeting the same product name , once is under a subdomain and another one a brand new domain.

The new site has been indexed by Google 1 week later (i just leave it there untouched for 1 week) Guess what ? it was ranked at page 5 (exact match) for the product name, with no contents , only the default Hello world post by wordpress, no on page optimization , no what so ever wordpress seo plugins , It outranks my subdomain site which has quality contents , on page seo and yet still struggling between page 15 and 16 . Page 5 with no work at all and Page 15 with hard work ?

Google treats subdomain and domain equally but when comes to SEO and niche marketing , buying a domain which includes the targeted product name/keyword is much much more better than setting a subdomain .

A lot of SEO Experts will advise to get a domain instead of subdomain , i don't really undertand the reason behind until i try them out myself.Overally i am pretty happy with the experiment , each small improvement bringing me closer to my $1 a day target :).

My Internet Marketing Progress

It has been awhile since my last update . After much struggle due to work commitment and DOTA everynite, finally i have launched my first money making blog . It is on a health product and without doing any link building , it is quietly sitting on page 16 of my target keyword . I am going to start link building and submitting article soon for this blog , the target earning is $1 per day

My advise to kick start your first blog is "just do it" , don't wait for the perfect situation cause it will never arrived , start doing it and improve along the way. Most importantly , find a niche that you have passion and you are excited to learn more about the niche. Through your passion only than you can generate unique articles , your exclusive experience that make your blog attractive to your reader.Remember , care about your reader and provide what they lack of and they will fulfill yours.

Audio content emerges recently in the PLR market , a reader no longer requires to read line by line of your article instead they can listen to the article by clicking the play button or download them into mp3 player . Quantity or Quality ?

When learning about Google AdSense , i came across two different school of thought , the first one suggest you to produce as many low quality adsense site as possible , usually from 100 to 300 sites per month , putting 10,000 to 20,000 keywords in each of them and hoping to earn few bucks from adSense, for example if each of the site from the 300 adsense sites earning you 1 dollar a day , it will be 300 a day and 9k a month , the phylosophy behind : you don't want to sell a one million dollar orange, you want to sell a million ONE dollar oranges! .
Another school of thought is to produce few sites but with high quality information to your visitor, for e.g. you might have 3 high quality sites earning you 100 dollar a day , which is 300 a day and 9k a month.

Of course the later required a lot of effort to generate the "Authority site" and it is no surprise that many will opt for the first option , they bought prebuild adsense site , hundreds of ghost written PLR articles and mass publishing them . Many of them have earn good money by selling a million ONE dollar oranges .

After reading John's report i finally make up my mind to go for the "Authority site" option , i want to build my niche that will benefit my reader , build up the reputation in the niche and growing constant traffic , i have set my mind , i have one goal and what i need to do is "Action" :)

Hi guys , as you can see I am restruturing PR site to reflect my current movement in the autosurf industry.On your right you can see my current active surfs . Program with green colour is new and possible will last at least 1 to 3 cycles . Green colour also indicates that it is being recommended by at least two of my trusted autosurf blogs .Orange colour meaning program has been around for at least 1 month and respective autosurf blogs have issue caution alert , it is recommended to play with profit with this program.
